A FINE AND RARE GERMAN ENGRAVED GLASS PIER GLASS with a border of martial trophies and battle scenes, the scroll cresting with a coat of arms, 5ft. wide, approximately lift, high (155cm. by 335cm.) circa 1710.
Reputedly presented to Prince Eugene of Savoie-Carignan (1663-1736) to celebrate his victories. Son of the Comte de Soissons he was destined for the church but, angry at being refused permission to enter the French army by Louis xiv, he became an officer under the Emperor Leopold 1.
A SET OF SEVEN VENETIAN GILTWOOD CHAIRS with molded cartouche-shaped backs, serpentine seats, and cabriole legs, five upholstered in stamped green leather and two upholstered in Genoese velvet, circa 1730.
A VENETIAN GILTWOOD ARMCHAIR similar, with a cartouche-shaped back covered in stamped green leather, with scrolled arms and cabriole legs, circa 1740.

A FLEMISH TORTOISESHELL AND EBONY CABINET mounted in reposes silver and brass, the pair of central arched doors enclosing a mirror-lined perspective interior with a parquetry floor and surrounded by numerous small drawers, ft. 3m. wide (160cm.) circa 1675, on a later ebonized stand with spirally turned legs.
A SOUTH GERMAN OR AUSTRIAN BOULLE TABLE-CABINET with a central cupboard, the drawer fronts inlaid with hunting scenes, flanked by two tiers of four drawers, the central drawers above and below inlaid with female busts and dragons amidst scrollwork, surmounted by a pediment inlaid with the arms of a Prince of the Holy Roman Empire,. high by wide (39cm. by 46cm.) early 18th Century, the etched glass in the doors probably replacing bullet panels.
AN ORMOLU-MOUNTED EBONY CABINET with two drawers in the frieze and a cupboard below, with a central carved panel of the Finding of Moses, 4ft. high, 4ft. 6in. wide, (122cm. by I3jcm.) panels circa 1760, cabinet circa 1860 with later white marble top.
A SET OF TEN FLORENTINE EBONISED AND PARCEL GILT ARMCHAIRS, covered in early 18th Century wine-red silk with coloured silk embroidery, partly constructed from a suite of chairs dating from circa 1600.

Reputedly from the Palazzo Capponi, Florence, the silk embroidery having been done by the ladies of the Capponi family.
