A VENETIAN GILT-METAL LANTERN, the glazed hexagonal body with boldly gadrooned upper and lower tiers, with seated figures in full relief, approximately high (275cm.) circa 1700.
A SET OF TEN VENETIAN ROCOCO GILTWOOD ARMCHAIRS with molded cartouche-shaped backs, serpentine seats and cabriole legs, six covered in stamped green leather and four covered in Genoese velvet, circa 1745.

A PAIR OF FLORENTINE GILTWOOD SIDE TABLES carved with elaborate scrolls and flowers on vase-shaped supports, one with a Siena marble top, the other with a violate marble top with a Siena marble border, 2ft. high by 6ft. wide (89cm. by 183cm.) circa 173, with later stretchers and feet.
A PAIR OF GREY MARBLE COLUMNS, of slender tapering form with white striation, on circular molded gilt-metal bases and square onyx plinths, 96m. high overall (244cm.).
A PAIR OF TALL MARBLE COLUMNS, the slender stems of charcoal grey marble with molded Siena marble capitals and bases, 114m. high (290cm.).
A GERMAN GREEN-PAINTED AND GILTWOOD QUARTER-STRIKING LONGCASE CLOCK, the 12-inch dial with decorated reposed centre, spandrels and arch, the three train movement in a paneled broken-arch case with a bull’s eye in the waist door, carved gilt borders, 8ft. 9m. high (267cm.) late 18th Century.
AN ORMOLU-MOUNTED MAHOGANY AND SATINWOOD COMMODE with a
marble top and containing two drawers, 3ft. high by wide (94cm. by 152cm.) circa 1800, possibly Russian.
The use of contrasting pale and dark woods and the veneered back are typical of Russian furniture of this period, though this piece also has affinities with the commode by Weisweiller, formerly at Hamilton Palace, illustrated, de Ricci, Louis Seize Furniture, 1680.
A DUTCH EAST INDIES PADOUKWOOD CHEST with a hinged lid and two drawers in the lower part, with pierced brass mounts, 2ft.. high by 5ft. wide (86cm. by 155cm.), now with bracket feet.
A PAIR OF MILANESE MARQUETRY COMMODES with Porter marble tops and each with three drawers, 6in. high by 4ft. wide (107cm. by 150cm.) circa 1790.

A PAIR OF ROCOCO GILT PELMETS, arched, molded and carved with flowers and leaves, 1 oft., 6in. wide (320cm.), circa 1850.
Two PAIRS OF GENOESE VELVET CURTAINS with a formal floral design in colors’ on an ivory ground, lined and interlined, 13ft. 6in. long by 5ft. 9m. wide (411cm. by 175cm.); and a pair of lambrequin pelmets, 10ft. 6in. wide (320cm.) circa 1800.
A THREE-FOLD DUTCH LEATHER SCREEN covered in stamped leather decorated in polychrome with parcel gilt detail, each fold pin. high by 2ft. in. wide (236cm. by 74cm.), leather panels circa 1680, probably Utrecht.
AN ORMOLU AND MEISSEN PORCELAIN CHARIOT, wide (38cm.), porcelain circa 1755, base circa 1760, chariot circa 1850.
AN INDIAN IVORY-INLAID CHESS AND BACKGAMMON BOX decorated with stars and geometric motifs; with thirty-two similar pieces, wide (48cm.) circa 1850.
A FINE VENETIAN GILTWOOD AND ENGRAVED GLASS MIRROR, the borders with mythological figures and musical trophies, 8ft. 6in. high by ft. 8in. wide (259cm. by 173cm.) circa 1720.
A VENETIAN GILTWOOD SIDE TABLE, with a serpentine black and white marble top, lambrequin frieze and square legs, 6ft. 2in. wide (188cm.) circa 1870.
A PAIR OF PIEDMONTESE GILTWOOD SIDE TABLES, in the manner of Guiseppe Maria Bonzanigo, 3ft. 8in. wide (122cm.) circa 1780, now with malachite tops.
These tables have affinities with the work of Guiseppe Maria Bonzanigo (1745-1820), notably the side table illustrated by Hugh Honour, Cabinet-Makers and Furniture-Designers, 184, and the carved decoration, especially the floral swags, on the fires Cree.
